MRT’s Yom Kippur Mitzvah Bags Make a Difference!

Monmouth Reform Temple’s Ongoing Support Brings in Abundant Donations for The Center.

Monmouth Reform Temple in Tinton Falls, under the leadership of Rabbi Renee Edelman, has been a dedicated partner of The Center for nearly 30 years. The congregation holds a High Holy Day collection each year, supporting our clients and residents.

During Rosh Hashanah services, donation bags and a list of our most needed items are thoughtfully placed on every chair. This list is also shared through MRT’s e-blast and displayed in their lobby. Congregants then return the filled bags on Yom Kippur and Sukkot, helping us meet the ongoing need for hygiene products and non-perishable food items.

The response this year has been nothing short of heartwarming. Four SUVs were filled with donations, and the generosity hasn’t stopped there! Just this afternoon, six more bags were dropped off, and we expect more to come as the holiday season continues until Friday.

We are deeply grateful to Monmouth Reform Temple for their unwavering commitment and to everyone who participated in this incredible effort. Your kindness makes a lasting difference in the lives of our clients.
