Mitzvah Day 2023 – Donate to Community Organizations!

MRT’s Mitzvah Day 2023 – Sunday, May 7 – will be a combination of events taking place at the Temple, at other off-site locations, both indoors and outdoors. In addition, there are projects that can be done at home. There is something for everyone, including donating to organizations described below:

Lunch Break & Family Promise:  Donations support either Lunch Break – which freely provides food, clothing, life skills and fellowship to those in need in Monmouth County and beyond – or Family Promise – which is the nation’s leading organization working to prevent and end family homelessness. You can specify to which cause you would like to donate.

Fulfill, the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, is committed to win the battle against hunger by providing food and helping those in need get to a place where they can get back on their feet for good.

Interfaith Neighbors provides rent subsidies and support services for those in the community who are in need.

Interfaith-RISE donations support the organization’s efforts to welcome and settle the recent, incoming Afghan population. Interfaith-RISE-an organization that facilitates and supports the self-sufficiency and community integration of refugees and asylees from across the world through affordable housing, English language proficiency, and cultural assimilation, and by providing access to social, mental health, and healthcare services in Central New Jersey.
